Kathmandu - A study report has shown that climate change has impacted the agriculture sector the most in Nepal.

It has been informed by organising a press meet jointly organised by Tribhuvan University, Central Department of Geography and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication on Wednesday.  

Chief of Study Projects 'Impact of climate change in the agriculture sector of Nepal' Professor Dr. Prem Sagar Chapagain said that Climate Change has affected the agriculture sector the most.

According to him, the study showed that the impact of climate change will be increased in future.

The study that conducted in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Chitwan, Tanahun and Kaski's 211 households as a sample showed temperature has been raised for 30 years, precipitation decreased, internal and external migration increased and remittance has increased in comparison to agriculture and livestock.

It has been found that farmers did not believe in weather and agriculture-related information.

Chief of Central Department of Geography TU, Professor Dr. Umesh Mandal said that the media should raise the issue of Climate change significantly as it is a serious issue.

In the programme, Alliance of Internation Science Organizations Beijing Officials, Professors of the department and journalists have participated.
